I Don't Need to Blog Today

I don't have to write a post, because a) I didn't do a lot of knitting last night. For about the twelfth billionth millionth zillionth time I had to touch up the bathroom ceiling after a water spot "magically" appeared on it in the past few days. That's over and done, and since I'm not sure who does or doesn't read this blog, that's all that I'm going to write about that matter. And b) you're all going to be too busy reading Wendy's post from yesterday. There's a slew of cool links.

I would like to see the last item updated to read "When you Ride ALONE you ride with DICK CHENEY" Eieeeeeeeeee! That would be enough to get me to carpool (But then I wouldn't be the Subway Knitter, I would be the Carpool Knitter. Except, that is, on days when I drove.)

I think a lot more people read your blog than post a comment...me included. Ahh. No time for knitting due to chores. I hear that. I have today off and plan to do some reading and knitting! Hope you get some in too!

Try covering the water spot with clear shellac or polyurethene. Then paint over it. The shellac/poly seals the stain so it doesn't "pop" through the paint.

Hi,
I thought I'd chime in. Long time reader, first time commentor. I love your blog and wish I could be a commuting knitter. Alas, no subway way out here in Oregon. Know that lots of us are reading (and enjoying). Hope the ceiling stays fixed so you can get back to the important work of knitting! Cheers.

Yes yes, shellac!! I did a stint as a professional painter and we always used Benz shellac......volatile stuff but gauranteed to keep it from coming back so longas there isn't an active leak and it will also keep paint from peeling.....but won't go into that as it is notthe problem you arehaving!

I know this sucks, but you really should have someone look into your ceiling and check out your pipes. You may have a leak somewhere that is only going to get worse and if a pipe ruptures you will be flooded in minutes and it will cost way more than the preventative maintenance. :(

You have TONS of readers and few commenters. Lots of people lurk but never comment. That's pretty comment. Just the one bloglines link I subscribe to of yours, there are 529 subscribers. One just ONE of your feeds. You're more famous than you know. Maybe the missing comments are leaking out that pipe in the ceiling?

Hi Coleen,

I read your post everytime it's updated. I am a rookie so I try to only comment when I feel like I can contribute anything. I love your posts, please keep them comming :-)

lmao. sorry that's a lame comment, but its the truth!

Eeeewwwww! Riding with Dick Cheney... did anyone else's blood just run cold? He'd probably fool with my radio trying to find Rush Limbaugh. Eeeewwwww! Then I'd have to drive into a bridge abutment. Eeeeewwww!

Yeah, me too.
1. I read your blog every day and look forward to it.
2. Wish I had more time to knit.
3. Wish you had more time to knit.
4. Riding with Dick Cheney--EWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!
5. Think you are more famous than you know.
6. Frequently LMAO only because I know you are laughing, too.
7. This is the first time I have ever posted to any blog. Yours is the only one I read often enough that it is on my start page.
8. Keep up the good work!!

I tend to lurk on your blog meaning to comment. So, I'm enjoying the progress of your sweater and have no suggestions about fixing your ceiling. This may be a problem that knitting won't fix! However, if you need a break from the sweater and the ceiling, I'm tagging you for the meme going around..the rules are on my blog.

Ha! Dick Cheney! My husband will love that one!
