MagKnits Sillies

I love the Santa Cruz hat from the latest MagKnits. I blogged about it on Friday.

I'm also strangely drawn to this. It's the Strawberry Tea Cozy, by Katya Frankel. Although I'm not a huge tea drinker, this might make me pull my teapot out of the cabinet and keep it on the counter. It's so silly, and yet so cute. And, I think that it would be fun to knit.

OK, I hear you on the hat. I'ts beautiful. But maybe we need to have a chat on the tea cozy thing..... see you tomorrow?

i saw that tea cozy and had a good laugh. not because i didn't think it was worth knitting.. just that i haven't seen anything like it on a knitting pattern website in a long time. it's kitsch and fun and i'm sure someone out there will love it!

That tea cozy is lovely. I'm very tempted to make one for myself, as we are tea drinkers and it would be perfect.

That's hysterical.

And I *am* a tea drinker, but can't quite see that on my teapot.

;-)

I am not a tea drinker. I do not even own a teapot. I think knitting "cozies" for everything from cell phones to eggs is quite silly. However, I loved the strawberry tea cozy. I saw it yesterday in Magknits. I showed it to my daughter (12 years old) and she snorted and said, "that could be the ugliest thing I ever saw." Now I want to knit it more than ever.

I painted a teapot like that once. I think if I knitted a tea cozy, it would be shaped like a camel instead.

I was thinking that my Mom would love that for her teapot. I'm going to make it for her for Mother's Day.

I love the tea cozy except maybe I could change some of it and make it a hat!! I think my granddaughter would love it. Or it would be a great gift for one of my redhat society friends. Thanks for the idea

I think you should knit the cozy as a hat--so cute! Not just for babies anymore...
