Bee Booties

My bee stripe booties are slowly taking form:

I took all of the very thoughtful suggestions from the comments on Friday and combined them into one almost completely self-make pattern. Using the number of bind-off stitches from the Filatura di Crossa bootie pattern (23--rounded to 24) I cast on for the cuff. I'm knit some ribbing, I switched to stockinette for the underside of the cuff, and I'm just about to begin the shortrow heel. There is really nothing to this.

Very cute! I can't wait to see the finished set.

So cute--you're going to have to make a hat to match too!!

Baby booties are sort of like potato chips, very quick, though they help you lose stash, instead of gaining...chip ;)

So far, so cute!

All that kid needs now is a stinger!

ryc: I was happily there both times she brought them! The last time was this past weekend when I happened to have my camera with me. The colours aren't so great in that photo because of the poor lighting at Booksmiths.
