Mitten Monday

Before I launch into a series of posts about my hat, let me give you a mitten update.  Dad's mittens are done:

Dadsmittens

The details:

Pattern: from The Knitter's Handy Book of Patterns by Ann Budd

Yarn: Wool Ease Denim

Needles: DPNs, US7

Time to knit: almost no time.  A few subway rides, and evening here and there, and we're done.

Would I knit mittens again?  And again, and again, and again.

Very nice! I've been using the same pattern and I just about have the ribbing done on mitten 2 - so fast and easy, yet I can't seem to get the second one done. Oh well! Dad will LOVE them!

The mittens look great. The Wool-ease denim is a nice color and they look real warm. Mittens were the second thing I learned to make after scarves. I loved making them.

Mittens are the best. I've made a pair this winter and am thinking of making more. Lots of fun and the color you chose, beautiful!

Don't you love that book? All the socks I've made with her template have turned out to fit perfectly.

Well done, you speedy knitter, you! Did you really knit them on size 7's? That's nice to know that you don't have to do them on toothpicks....

The mittens are great! I love wool-ease and it is also machine washable and dryable if you use the low heat setting. You should knit yourself some anti-germ woolease mittens.
Cheers!
