Remember When

Before I go any further, thank you to everyone who stopped by and left kind words about my Madeleine.  I'm very pleased with the result, and I'm gratified that many others feel the same way.

There's no way that I can keep up the excitement of yesterday in today's post.  Do you remember when I mentioned that I'd be knitting Amy Steven's On the Moon bag with some leftover yarn, instead of the Soy Silk that the pattern specifies?

Yeah, well, there's been a change of plans.

I buzzed by Circles last week, and saw this ball in the cubby.  Apparently, South West Trading Company has added a few more colorways to its Phoenix Soy Silk line.  I saw this one and immediately knew that the Harvest Green colorway would be much better than the light green Ibiza that I have.

If you're keeping track, this marks the second project with green ribbon yarn (with a third on the way).  Some are having the Summer of Lace.  I'm having the Summer of Ribbon Yarn.  If I were more clever (and not so darn busy that I don't have the patience to figure it out) I'd make a button.

Gosh, I love that stuff. I have a project that I restarted last night after ripping it all out with some sapphire Phoenix. Yum.

Oh that is going to be so cute...I love the new colour!'re totally making me ache for my Soy Silk "Chocolate" which I have yet to pick up at Circles!

Good choice!!! One word of advice, unless you have a really light weight button, try putting two button holes, one at each corner, rather than one in the middle. If you fill the bag with Tampax, the weight of the sticks balances it, but if you put in anything else, the weight of the button will cause the bag to sag in the center.

Does that make sense?

I love the soy silk! The yardage kicks all kinds of butt and it's so yummy.

I like it! Great colorway, I think it will make a cutiepie bag :).

I missed yesterdays grand unveiling, must have been on the planet Zog or something, Madeleine looks great, I love the neckline.

I think I must have been away with the fairies yesterday and missed Madeleine's unveiling - it looks fantastic! Very, very pretty and those cables are fabulous. I hope you have many sunny days to show her off!

So, you like soy silk? I'm trying to decide if I should try it.
